Commentary from Saturday, March 28, 2009

For months I have shared some of the ideas I received from listeners who responded to my commentaries. Today, I want to encourage you to network with family, friends and neighbors to let them know which American made products you purchased lately and the stores where you purchased them. The American people have more power to bring about change than they realize. Every time you spend your hard-earned money to purchase the products you use either daily or occasionally, consider how you can support American workers and the businesses that employ them.

This is a grass-roots campaign to get people to stop, look and choose products that will help keep American manufacturing facilities open and American people employed. We simply can’t continue buying without helping our fellow Americans keep their jobs in an ever changing world economy where competition is the name of the game.

There is no question that we all participate in and benefit from a global economy, but that should not stop us from placing emphasis on our own economy and our own workers first.

If you want to highlight the stores where you shop and the American made products they have to offer, email me that information so I can share it with others.

This is Michael Blichasz, and as always, I appreciate hearing from you. I welcome your comments and suggestions and ask that you spread the word to others. You can Email me from my Internet site at:
