Over 31 Million Need Us!

There are more than 31 Million businesses registered in the United States. With tens-of-millions of Americans working to support the Buy American Made Campaign, more people are focused on supporting our fellow Americans.
America’s businesses represent sole proprietors, small and medium size businesses, as well as larger businesses employing hundreds or thousands of people. The 31 million private sector businesses presently provide over 135 million Americans with full and part time jobs in the private sector.  An additional 23 million Americans are employed by various levels of Government. The combined total of private sector and government jobs is only 158 million people employed in America. These statistics are provided by the United States Department of Labor. However, with a population of over 333 million people in the United States and after considering children and youth under 18, parents at home with children and retired senior citizens, America should have at least 188 million full and part time jobs available for working age and able-bodied people. This means we need at least 30 million additional job opportunities for our fellow Americans.

In recent years, supporters of the Buy American Made Campaign have expanded their efforts to urge America’s consumers to use their purchasing power to support American made products of every type. Helping businesses expand their product lines in the United States would create millions of job opportunities to compete with the foreign made products sold in America’s stores and on the Internet.

After watching tens of thousands of businesses relocate their manufacturing overseas, everyone is asked to focus even more on products made in the United States, so we can help America rebuild and get millions of Americans working in skilled jobs again.

If just 5 million of America’s businesses were able to employ an additional 5 people to meet the demands for American made products, there would be 25 million new job opportunities created right here in the United States. When you look at the amount of foreign made products now sold in the United States, helping American based businesses expand their product line is necessary for the long-term well being of the United States.  Thanks for your participation and for spreading the word to your family and friends.
