It is Happening With Your Participation!

As supporters of the Buy American Made Campaign continue to ask for American made where they shop, store managers and suppliers are hearing the message and looking to satisfy the requests of customers. The responses to our commentaries on the radio, Internet and social media are appreciated because they let us know Americans want American made and are reconsidering their purchases when they can’t find competitive American made products available.

Twenty-five years ago, when people began discussing the sharp rise in imported clothing, shoes, electronics, furniture, and other household products, they thought it would not continue long-term. However, during the last 25 to 30 years, we have witnessed the continuing attraction for businesses to purchase cheaper products overseas and sell them to the American people at a much higher price as if they were made in the made in the United States of America.

With all the new technology available in manufacturing, we certainly have an opportunity to make competitive products of every type with a Made in the U.S.A. label. However, it requires business leaders and America’s consumers directing time and effort to support American workers so businesses will be able to provide long lasting jobs here in the United States.

America's businesses were encouraged to outsource manufacturing to foreign countries to increase profits for investors and bypass America and the American people. Now we have to encourage America’s businesses to produce more in America for the benefit of American workers and America’s future, or we will continue to be more and more dependent on foreign made.

Your participation is very important. Kindly spread this message.
