We Have The Power!

There is a growing positive movement taking place in the U.S.A. as people take a close look at what has happened as a result of jobs being outsourced around the world. I’m sure we can agree that Americans should have reacted as soon as they saw jobs being moved overseas resulting in the loss of millions of job opportunities. Americans should have reacted as a growing number of products sold in America’s stores were being imported from other countries. Americans should also have reacted as they saw well established employers not modernizing industries in the U.S.A., but instead ordering products from overseas to stock America’s stores. But most importantly, businesses preparing to move jobs overseas were not asked by local or national elected officials to meet and do everything possible to keep those jobs in the United States of America, for the well-being of America’s economy, its workers and communities.

If business, labor and elected officials sat down at the same table to discuss issues, much of what has happened with outsourcing would be much less of a problem today. Instead millions of jobs have been lost, thousands of manufacturing facilities closed, and work-related talents and skills continue to diminish.

To turn our employment situation around, I urge you to buy American made products and support America’s businesses who are helping to support America’s economy and employing America’s workers. If we all do our part and use our purchasing power wisely, we can turn things around for the better, but it will take actions, not just words.
