A Combined U.S. Jobs Report Would Help!

Each month the news media outlines some basic information from the United States Monthly Jobs Report. In the past, the United States Department of Labor was encouraged to provide a one page “MONTHLY JOBS Report” so Americans know where we are right now and where we need to be.

Since Government agencies are already collecting monthly data on jobs and business growth, we have requested them to expand their reporting and provide a ONE PAGE MONTHLY REPORT on their Internet site with the following information:

1.
Total number of people presently employed in the United States _________
2.
Total full-time jobs: ___________
3.
Total part-time jobs: ___________
4.
Total new jobs added to payroll this month: ___________
5.
Total jobs reported a lost this month: ___________
6.
Total Americans who applied for unemployment this month: ___________
7.
Total workers who retired this month: ___________
8.
Total jobs generated to replace retiring workers: ___________
9.
Total number of Americans presently in need of full or part time jobs: ______
10.
Total working age and able bodied Americans not in the workforce ________

With this information documented each month we would all have a better knowledge of America's employment base and where improvement is needed. As we support more jobs in the United States, we need our government to offer a Single Page Monthly Report providing the facts and figures Americans should know. This would allow us to know where we are and how important it is to restore more manufacturing and all levels of jobs needed to expand employment in the United States of America. Forward this commentary to your federal and state level elected officials.

Thanks for your participation. Kindly spread the word.
