How Would You Address The Situation?

We have all seen television, newspaper and Internet reports and heard radio broadcasts about how people in foreign countries are working for very low wages and must put in long hours and in many cases work in less than favorable conditions to produce products sold in the U.S.A. I'm sure that every American is opposed to poor working conditions, especially when those products are being shipped to America and sold to us at a huge profit.

After proclaiming that manufacturing in America was not profitable, many company executives established their facilities in other countries to save on production costs. But instead of passing on savings to American consumers, prices continued to rise and the businesses that outsourced reaped even more profits. Those profits were increased at the expense of American workers and low-paid workers around the world.

When we hear that some imported products bring in ONE THOUSAND PERCENT PROFIT or MORE for the businesses importing and selling the items in U.S. Stores, we can understand how they are able to offer those huge sale prices without loosing money.

Unfortunately, the loss of employment opportunities for American workers and their ongoing spending power was not considered as businesses continued to outsource and unemployment opportunities dropped. Today Americans are suffering because of a lack of national leadership, corporate greed and a struggling economy.

After seeing the aftermath of unemployment in America, it is evident that it is up to the American people to turn things around by supporting the Buy American Made Campaign or we will see more jobs lost and more people unable to support themselves and their families.

Buying American made FIRST means you know people are working in reasonable conditions and paid a reasonable wage. This message must be on the minds of America's consumers, so I urge you to help our cause by spreading the word. Americans were asleep for TOO LONG. It's time to wake-up and support one another FIRST!

My thanks to everyone supporting the Buy American Made Campaign. The sooner we get on the road to a balance between imported and domestic products, the better it will be for all of us.
