More People Want American Made!

This has been another very interesting year and a holiday season that has more people seeking out American made items to give as gifts to family and friends. I know that there is a lot of work to be done to restore the 50/50 balance we so often speak about, but change is happening as America’s consumers look out for American made products FIRST!

As our supporters are shopping they also see for themselves what percentage of the items available are made overseas as opposed to what percentage were made or assembled in the U.S.A. As our supporters speak up, I hear that businesses are considering restoring some of their production in the U.S.A. Some of this is a result of business owners seeing people like you and me walk out the door to shop around for items made in the U.S.A. This is a reaction no business owner or investor wants to see, so I encourage you to continue to make your feeling known everywhere you shop. Additionally, because Americans are being more conservative about what they purchase, stores are offering 50, 60, and 70% discounts on largely imported products to move inventory! Some people are asking how is that level of price reduction possible? Were those items overpriced in the first place? Yes many items were overpriced and because of the way America’s consumers are reacting now, businesses have been taking a second look at restoring production of their products in America where their customers live and where Americans need jobs.

Thanks for your participation and for spreading the word! On behalf of everyone promoting the Buy American Made Campaign, I wish you and yours a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and best wishes for the New Year.
