America's Businesses NEED YOU!

At this time of year, Americans focus much of their attention on holiday shopping. Some people will be able to spend as they did in the past, while others are cutting back because of the loss of a job or the rising costs of day-to-day living expenses. During this prolonged five-year recession, America's small and medium sized businesses have seen their sales drop because people simply don't have the money to spend.

Year after year, America's manufacturers are struggling to keep their products on the market and pay their workers but have been overpowered by the amount of imported products now sold in America’s stores. To help America’s businesses, especially those featuring American made products, I encourage you to shop at these establishments so they can pay their expenses and keep people employed. In the last year I have seen an increase of American made products available, however, some stores continue to bypass American made items because the profit margin from imported products is much greater for them.

With so much hustle and bustle in our daily lives, we don’t often consider the importance of supporting local businesses and how important they are to America's economy. It is without question that America's consumers have the power to change America's economy simply by what they purchase and who they choose to support. When you go shopping, help keep American made items moving off the shelves and let store personnel know that you support the Buy American Made Campaign. Thanks for spreading the word.
