Help Revitalize Our Manufacturing Base!

I appreciate hearing the opinions of people who have been affected by businesses that moved abroad and now find themselves unemployed. I totally agree that big businesses are not expanding in America because of rising labor costs, taxes and regulations. This is why I urge you to support the products of companies that are still manufactured in America, even if they cost you a little more. I’m sure those companies are also faced with rising labor cost, taxes and regulations, but they found ways to remain in business and it is in our best interest to support them. One of the goals of the Buy American Made Campaign is to urge businesses to revitalize our manufacturing base with the latest technologies so that the products they produce will be cost efficient, and provide them with the opportunity to create new jobs producing items we use on a regular basis.

As this campaign continues, I also urge you to call your local businesses and political leaders to urge them to work closely together to get more Americans working again. Your personal telephone calls, emails or letters will help demonstrate your concerns for American workers and America’s economy.

With more than 15 million people seeking full time employment and 10 million additional people seeking part-time employment, we need to promote new ideas and new technologies in order to restore manufacturing in America. With more manufacturing jobs, we will also see many other levels of employment generated. We cannot permit America to be a nation that is a selling point for products made around the world, while American manufacturing facilities are closing and American workers are left unemployed. We can improve America’s economy and reduce unemployment simply by supporting products made in the U.S.A. Spread the word to your family and friends and be sure to ask for and speak up in support of American made products where you shop.
