A New Season Brings About More Opportunities!

The Fall season has always been a time when people make plans for the upcoming holidays. Each year the holiday season has been an immense stimulus for America’s economy. However, with so much of what is being sold in America’s stores now representing foreign made products, it took away many long-lasting job opportunities for American workers have been lost. It’s NOT that we don’t have the products we need, it’s that too many of those products represent the skills of foreign workers rather than the skills of American workers.

Right now business owners are ordering items they will be offering to holiday shoppers. I would like to see business owners demand more American made items from their suppliers and I ask all of you to speak up where you shop in support of American made products and American jobs. As I shop around I am finding a growing selection of American made items and hear that customers are asking shopkeepers “What do you have that’s made in U.S.A”.

During the holiday season and throughout the year, I suggest that you make a list of the items you will be needing during the next few months and see what you can do to make 75% of what you purchase represent items made in America.

To enhance the shopping season and bring additional attention to our efforts, American Workers Radio will be promoting the Month of November as “American Made Month”. Your participation is needed to make this effort a success. For a brief schedule of events visit: AmericanMadeMonth.com.
